CERTIFICATIONS
This certification is typically specified for small public service and institutional buildings (schools, etc.), shopping centers, light manufacturing plants, miscellaneous and ornamental iron work, warehouses, lowrise beam/column/light truss structures.
CERTIFIED BUILDING FABRICATOR
Certification means the company cares enough about what it does that it is willing to invest the necessary resources to put a quality management system into place for its welding operations. It means that the company is willing to have someone else come in and look at what they are doing. It also shows that the company is qualified and committed to fabricate the weldments to required specifications, which results in fewer nonconformance’s to the customer. A certified company’s customers will have the assurance that it is an above-average fabricator.
CERTIFIED WELDING FABRICATOR
The Sophisticated Paint Endorsement is a quality certification program designed to evaluate the qualifications of structural steel fabricators and manufacturers of bridge and highway metal components who apply sophisticated or industrial protective coatings, such as zincs, epoxies, urethanes, or multi-coat systems in their paint shops following fabrication. The Sophisticated Paint Endorsement meets quality program criteria requirements of SSPC-QP 3.
SOPHISTICATED PAINT ENDORSEMENT - ENCLOSED
This category is appropriate for unspliced rolled beam bridges. Simple Bridges can be short, single span highway overpasses. They are also pedestrian bridges, connections between buildings, or bridges on private property. These projects may interface with contracts for state transportation departments.
CERTIFIED BRIDGE FABRICATOR: SIMPLE
This AISC certification confirms to owners, the design community, and the construction industry that a certified manufacturing firm has the personnel, the organization, experience, procedures, knowledge, equipment and commitment to produce of the quality required for normal bridge and highway construction.
